We are starting a 2nd Outward Performance class with the Arbinger Institute on Tuesday, Oct 8, 1-4pm Eastern time, running for five weeks and ending on November 5 (Election day in the US). WE MAY move the last session to one week later to accommodate those working on Election Day. The class will vote on doing this.
Cora Alexander, LUT, and Rev. Aliza Bloom Robinson, who are alumni of our first class and have gone thorough more training with Arbinger, will help facilitate our class. (Aliza is also offering a separate book study on Thursday nights. Go here for more information. )
This class is about changing the consciousness of individuals and the culture of organizations. It is free to you because of generous donations given to TruthUnity. What I can say is that the course changed my marriage, my ministry and the way I see and treat others. What I can promise is that the content is world class and quite different from anything available in church circles. The class establishes, in a secular world, what it means for you and me, and our church ministries, to “see the Christ in others.”

Arbinger has changed this class somewhat from what we had last year. Last year’s class focused on “seeing others as people.” So does this class, but it also builds on that foundation so that the organization (your church) functions in such a way that others feel they are seen as people. So it is now as much about turning your church outward as it is about turning your life and ministry outward.
We can do the class in five sessions of 2 hours each, but my sense is that the conversations run too deep and we will need an extra hour each time we meet. So the meeting time is three hours, but if we feel complete after 2 hours we will wrap up early.
This is a highly participative class. I ask everyone to attend all sessions, have video turned on throughout the sessions and to participate in the discussions. There is a limit to the number of available seats. If we run short, I ask for your patience until we have our next class.
