I am reaching out to see who would participate in a one-day conversation that focuses on surfacing and sharing our internal scripts. We will meet on Saturday, March 15, 2025, 10am-4pm Eastern time and we will use the Arbinger Institute videos to guide our conversation. Here is why you might want to participate.
Scripts connect and control the interplay of two foundational religious practices that Charles and Myrtle referred to in Unity: Oneness and Wholeness. Oneness is our unity with God and with one another. Oneness looks outward and calls us to love God with all our heart, soul and might and to love one another as our self. Wholeness looks inward and calls us to a unity of body, soul and Spirit by means of aligning twelve human faculties.
Scripts, as I said, control the interplay of Oneness and Wholeness. Oneness with one another does not necessarily lead to internal Wholeness, nor does internal Wholeness necessarily lead to Oneness with one another. Faulty scripting, such as feeling better than, worse than, entitled to or needing to be seen as can prevent true unity: being both one and whole.
While scripts can prevent true unity, they can be changed. I am reaching out now because on March 23, 2025 I will speak at Unity of Atlanta on Martha Guidici's teaching about the power of the words we use. In subtle ways, we know that our words reveal our scripts. Martha teaches that our words also change our scripts, again in subtle ways. I am looking for this one day class to help surface my own scripts and to learn about your scripts. Doing that will help guide my message in Atlanta.
This is a highly participative conversation. I ask everyone to have video turned on throughout the day and to participate in the discussions. There is no sign up or registration page.
