Silent Unity Christmas 1980

James Dillet Freeman

The Star Whose Light Was Love

Written and Narrated by James Dillet Freeman

Hi Friends -

Here is a 32 minute Christmas play given forty years ago by James Dillet Freeman and friends at Silent Unity.

The play is about the angel Gabriel recruiting the star which will give itself to shine bright on the first Christmas morning. It’s funny, it’s engaging and, twenty two minutes into the dialog, it gives a whole new insight into how things work in the heavenly realm. Trust me, this play is special—James Dillet Freeman at his best.

My bet is that many of you will want to print out the script. The transcript arrived this morning. I haven't had time to read and review it for mistakes. So you will find it below in .DOCX and .PDF format, as is. I will be grateful for anyone who listens to the audio and corrects any mistakes in the transcript. And if any of you who are skilled in dramatic arts and are able to transform it into a document for churches to use at Christmas in 2021, that will be wonderful. All of you, editors and script writers, please send me your handiwork. I'll post it here with a credit to you.

May your star and my star be one of love this Christmas day.
