Metaphysical meaning of Ahitub (mbd)
Ahitub, a-hl'-tub (Heb.)--brother of goodness, or benignity, i. e., benign.
a Father of Ahijah, a high priest who was descended from Eli (I Sam. 14:3). b Father of Ahimelech, the priest who was slain at Saul's command for having befriended David (I Sam. 22: 9-20). c Father of Zadoc, a priest (II Sam. 8:17).
Meta. A conception of the truth that God (Spirit) is good only and that He expresses in individual consciousness as kindness and goodness (brother of goodness, benignity, benign).
