Metaphysical meaning of Anamim (mbd)
Anamim, an'-a-mlm (Heb.)--statues; rockmen; fountains.
Son of Mizraim, son of Ham (Gen. 10:13); his descendants are supposed to have inhabited a portion of Egypt. The name Mizraim in the Bible is in meaning identical with Egypt.
Meta. Hard, material thoughts (rockmen) about life (fountains). Material thoughts about life aid in building corruptible bodies, mere statues in so far as being truly alive through union with the Source of all life is concerned.
