Metaphysical meaning of Arab (mbd)
Arab, a'-rab (Heb.)--ambuscade; a lurking place; a snare,- ambush.
A city of Judah, in the hill country (Josh. 15:52).
Meta. The reasoning faculty (this city was near Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, and belongs therefore to the front brain, or seat of conscious thought--see HEBRON) in man used as a snare to entangle (ambuscade) the enemies (error thoughts and beliefs) of Judah (praise) and Israel (true thoughts).
