Metaphysical meaning of Archippus (mbd)
Archippus, är-ch;p'-pus (Gk.)--master of the horse; chief of the horses; ruler of horses.
Addressed by Paul as "our fellow soldier" (Philem. 2) .
Meta. Dominion over the vital forces of the organism, and the wisdom and ability to train and care for these forces wisely (master of the horse, chief of the horses, ruler of horses; horses refer to the vitality, or vital forces). In olossians 4:17 Paul admonishes Archippus: "Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it."
