Metaphysical meaning of Arod (mbd)
Arod, a'-rod (Heb.) - -fleeing; a wild ass.
Son of Gad and grandson of Jacob (Num. 26:17); in Genesis 46:16 he is called Arodi.
Meta. Arod and his descendants, the Arodites, represent the phase of the animal nature in man that is characterized by the ass--meekness, stubbornness, persistency, and endurance. These qualities are good when they are directed by the true I AM, but are destructive when given over to sense rule.
