Metaphysical meaning of ascension (mbd)

Meta. The ascension i9 the final step in the attainment of the Christ consciousness. In the ascended state the individual attains the cosmic consciousness of oneness with the Father. His body loses its limitations and takes on the livingness of the substance of God; he transcends the limitations of space and time; he acquires full control over his body (the earth) and over all the faculties of his mind (the heavens); he takes on the divine powers and attributes.
"Lo, I am with you always," said Jesus. This is literally true because the ascended one rises to a level of oneness with the father and puts on the omnipresence and omnipotence, the universal body and mind, of God.
