Metaphysical meaning of Baal-hanan (mbd)
Baal-hanan, ba'-al-ha'-nan (Heb.)--Baal is gracious; possessor of compassion; lord of mercy.
a King of Edom (Gen. 36 :38). b A Gederite who was "over the olive-trees and the sycamore-trees that were in the lowland" during David's reign over Israel (I Chron. 27:28).
Meta. Grace, mercy, and kindliness as belonging to and being expressed by the outer man (Baal is gracious, possessor of compassion, lord of mercy). All these God qualities are expressed in measure by the outer physical and mental man, even before their true origin is understood to be spiritual. Until man learns the Truth, he usually takes to himself all the honor and glory resulting from any good that he does, instead of ascribing all honor and glory to God--Divine Mind.
