Casiphia, cå-s1ph'-;-å (Heb.)--pale; pallid, white; silver (so called from its pale color); money; shining.
A place in or near Babylon where many Æof the captive Jews lived; Ezra sent word to Iddo at this place to get ministers for the house of God from among the Levites there, men who would be willing to accompany Ezra on his return from the captivity in Babylon to Jerusalem (Ezra 8:17).
Meta. A certain purity of thought (white) with a degree of understanding and realization of substance, but in need of more direct spiritual illumination, strength, and vitality (pale, pallid, silver, money, shining).
