Metaphysical meaning of Chloe (mbd)
Chloe, chlo'-e (Gk.)--tender shoot; tender growth; verdant herbage; green herb.
From the "household of Chloe" Paul learned that there were contentions and divisions among the members of the church at Corinth (I Cor. 1:11).
Meta. A springing up into expression, or manifest growth, of the word of Truth that has been planted in the love center (Corinth) in individual consciousness. This word has taken root in substance and is springing up into life and peace.
The “household of Chloe" means spiritual thoughts of life and love that are budding and growing naturally and harmoniously. They are quick to sense cross currents of a divided or contentious attitude of mind that sometimes become active in the assembly of love thoughts (church at Corinth). They communicate the news of this inharmony to the word of Truth (Paul), that through the activity of the word the cross currents may be eliminated and the love consciousness again may become established in the harmony of the real Christ Spirit.
