Metaphysical meaning of cities (mbd)
cities.
Meta. Fixed states of consciousness or aggregations of thoughts in the various nerve centers of the body. The presiding or central thought-meaning of a city is found in the significance of its name, combined with that of the man tribe, country, or nation with which it is mentioned.
In their highest significance, the "cities of Judah" (II Sam. 2:1) represent spiritual centers of life in consciousness.
"The city which hath the foundations whose builder and maker is God" (Heb. 11:10) is the spiritual body. Its foundation is the ideal body created by Divine Mind. By faith we bring this ideal body into manifestation.
