Metaphysical meaning of Colossians (mbd)
Colossians, co-los'-si-ans (Gk.).
Inhabitants of Colossæ; the reference here is to the Christians at this place to whom Paul wrote his Epistle (Col. 1:2).
Meta. The thoughts that comprise the Colossæ state of consciousness (see COLOSSÆ). The Christian assembly at Colossæ are the awakened thoughts that see the truth regarding the goodness of God and the unreality of all seeming error with its inharmonious activities.
