Metaphysical meaning of Comforter (mbd)
Comforter.
Meta. The Comforter is spiritual understanding, the realization of man's inherent God character. The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, the inner presence are all synonymous terms. When we have taken the external steps toward a renewed consciousness, we begin to feel that we are not left alone in our effort to behold and express ourselves spiritually. We feel that we are being companioned, guarded, and guided by the light of love; being taught in Truth through feeling and through thoughts that were formerly beyond us. This teaching, this light, this love comes from within. Jesus called it the Comforter because it is soothing, strengthening, something we can depend on.
