Metaphysical meaning of Cushite (mbd)
Cushite (in A.V., Num. 12:1, Ethiopian; in II Samuel 18:21, Cushi), cush'te (Heb.)--same definitions as Cushi.
Moses' wife was a Cushite woman, and Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because he had married a woman of that race (Num. 12:1). It was a Cushite also whom Joab sent to David to tell him of the overthrow and death of Absalom (II Sam. 18: 21). A Cushite was a native of the land of Cush, or Ethiopia.
