Metaphysical meaning of Elihu (mbd)
Elihu, e-l'-hu (Heb.)--my God is that which is; whose God is He; my God is He; God is He i.e., Jehovah.
a Son of Barachel the Buzite, one of Job's friends (Job 32:2-6). b An ancestor of Samuel's (I Sam. 1:1). c The name of other Israelitish men (I Chron. 12:20; 26:7; 27:18).
Meta. Elihu of the book of Job represents the Holy Spirit. The name Elihu also signifies the recognition by man that his true inner self is Spirit.
