Metaphysical meaning of En-rogel (mbd)
En-rogel, en-ro'-grel (Heb.)--foot fountain; well of the treading feet; fullers' fountain, because at the well of En-rogel the fullers trod their clothes.
A very ancient well near Jerusalem (II Sam. 17:17; I Kings 1:9). It is one of the three sources from which Jerusalem is now supplied with water; some think it to be the same place as Bethesda.
Meta. The cleansing, healing life of Spirit springing up into consciousness (see BETHESDA also) and, activated and directed by the power of the word, doing an orderly, disciplinary, cleansing, purifying, adjusting work in the life of the individual.
