Metaphysical meaning of Eshek (mbd)
Eshek, e'-shek (Heb.)--oppression; violence; strife; injury; distress; straits.
A Benjamite who was descended from Saul (I Chron. 8:39).
Meta. The activity of the faith (Benjamin) thought in man, but directed and influenced by the selfish, oppressive, contentious dominance of the personal will (Saul). This brings about a very destructive attitude of mind. Faith must work by love in order to establish harmony, true freedom, and peace in man.
