Metaphysical meaning of Hacaliah (mbd)
Hacaliah (A.V., Hachaliah), hae-a ah (Heb.)--wait (with confidence) upon Jehovah, whose eyes Jehovah brightens; darkness (flashing) of Jehovah.
Father of Nehemiah (Neh. 1:1).
Meta. Light in seeming darkness; an inner attitude of prayer, of waiting on the Lord for light to dispel the seeming darkness that hides our good from us when our true (Israelitish) thoughts have become engulfed, apparently, in sense confusion (Babylon).
