Metaphysical meaning of Hanes (mbd)
Hanes, ha'-nes (Heb.)--the planet Mercury; banishment of grace; turning of favor.
A place in Egypt that has not been identified; it is mentioned with Zoan (Isa. 30:4).
Meta. The belief that wisdom comes from the outer--the establishment of one's trust in stars, and so forth. This leads away from the grace of God (banishment of grace) and from consciousness of the divine presence and power in one's life.
