Metaphysical meaning of Hannah (mbd)
Hannah, han'-nah (Heb.)--grace; favor; compassion: defense.

Wife of Elkanah of the hill country of Ephraim, and mother of Samuel (I Sam. 1:2 to 2:21).

Meta. The soul, because of its high aspirations, its consecration to God, and much earnest prayer, established in divine grace and favor. It receives that which it desires, the ability to hear the inner voice of Spirit, to perceive Truth. (Samuel represents the inner voice of Spirit, or divine inspiration and guidance; see SAMUEL.)
