Hannah, han'-nah (Heb.)--grace; favor; compassion: defense.
Wife of Elkanah of the hill country of Ephraim, and mother of Samuel (I Sam. 1:2 to 2:21).
Meta. The soul, because of its high aspirations, its consecration to God, and much earnest prayer, established in divine grace and favor.
