Metaphysical meaning of Hazor (mbd)
Hazor, ha'-zôr (Heb.)--village; court; castle; fortification; habitation; encampment; pasture; verdant inclosure.
a City of Jabin (Josh. 11:1). b A southern city of Judah (Josh. 15:23). c A place where Benjamites settled after their return from the Babylonian captivity (Neh. 11:33). d "The kingdoms of Hazor" are mentioned in Jeremiah 49:28.
Meta. A fortified state of thought in the subconscious mind of man; that which Jabin signifies is the central or dominating idea. (See JABIN.) When praise and prayer take dominion over this state of thought (the city of Jabin was allotted to Judah) a great change takes place in it; it is raised to a higher basis of spiritual understanding.
