Metaphysical meaning of Hurai (mbd)
Hurai, hu'-rai (Heb.)--linen worker; weaver of fine linen; bleacher of fine linen; whitener; purifier; brilliant; noble; splendid.
"Hurai of the brooks of Gaash" was one of David's mighty men (I Chron. 11:32). In II Samuel 23:30 he is called Hiddai.
Meta. A freeing, ennobling power that works in the spiritual qualities of discrimination, intuition, and love, to bring about an orderly interblending of the true thoughts and ideals in consciousness (weaver of fine linen, linen worker, whitener, purifier, splendid); thus the individual becomes purified and clothed with the garment of light and wholeness. (See Isaiah 52:1; 61:10; see HIDDAI.)
