Metaphysical meaning of Ishbi-benob (mbd)
Ishbi-benob, ish'-bi-be'-nob (Heb.)--my dwelling place is in Nob; my seat is in Nob; my dwelling is on the prominence; my abiding place is in the height.
A son of Raphah, the giant; he tried to kill David, and it looked as though he were going to succeed, but Abishai came to David's help and killed Ishbi-benob (II Sam. 21:16).
Meta. Personality, the man of sense, exalting himself--the outer man of sense taking to himself the high place in consciousness that belongs to the spiritual man only.
