Metaphysical meaning of Ithream (mbd)
Ithream, ith'-re-am (Heb.)--abundance of the people; people of plenty; people of excellence; remnant of the people; residue of the people; survival of the people.
A son of David, born in Hebron; his mother's name was Eglah (II Sam. 3:5).
Meta. There still survives in every individual an inherent belief that the power of that which is good and true far exceeds in value and worth all other seeming powers. (People symbolize thoughts, and remnant, or residue, refers to something that survives or remains. Even so, any one who will watch his inner thoughts will find an inherent belief in the good at work in his consciousness.)
