Metaphysical meaning of Jabneel (mbd)
Jabneel, jab'-ne-el (Heb.)--whom God produces; God causes to build; building of God; posterity of God, i. e., sons of God.
a A place on the northwest border of Judah (Josh. 15:11). b A border city of Naphtali (Josh. 19:33).
Meta. Abraham looked for "the city which hath the foundations, whose builder and maker is God" (Heb. 11:10). This is man's spiritual consciousness, Divine Mind or the Christ mind, expressed in and through man. Paul speaks of "a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens," which building we have from God (II Cor. 5:1); this is our perfected, spiritual body, which results from and is established in spiritual consciousness--the heavens. Jabneel signifies this Christ consciousness, in which is the perfect body consciousness (building of God).
