Metaphysical meaning of Jakim (mbd)
Jakim, ja'-kim (Heb.)--whom He (God) establishes; he will lift up; he will confirm; he will withstand.
a A chief man of Benjamin, who lived in Jerusalem (I Chron. 8:19). b A Levite on whom the twelfth lot fell for service in the Temple (I Chron. 24:12).
Meta. Active faith (Benjamin) and a natural religious tendency pertaining to spiritual service in the body temple (a Levite on whom the twelfth lot fell for service in the Temple) being raised to higher expression (he will lift up) and greatly strengthened, made more firm and stable (whom He (God) establishes, he will confirm) in consciousness.
