Metaphysical meaning of Jehallelel (mbd)
Jehallelel (in A. V., I Chronicles 4:16, Jehaleleel; II Chronicles 29:12, Jehalelel), je-hal'-le-lel (Heb.)--he shall praise God; who praises God; glorifying God; make a glad shout to God; shine forth God's glory. (Our words "yell," and "hello," come from this ancient root, which means to make a great shout of rejoicing.)
a A man of Judah (I Chron. 4:16). b The father of Azariah, a Levite (II Chron. 29:12).
Meta. That in our religious nature, our higher and truer thoughts (Israel), which extols, magnifies, and worships God--the great principle of being, divine life, love, wisdom, Truth.
