Metaphysical meaning of Jehosheba (mbd)
Jehosheba, je-hosh'-e-bå (Heb.)--whose oath Jehovah is; Jah is her oath Jehovah has sworn; who worships Jah, fulfilling of Jah; fidelity of Jehovah; sevenfold Jehovah.
Sister of Ahaziah. She protected Joash, heir to the throne, from being destroyed by his grandmother Athaliah (II Kings 11:2). In II Chronicles 22:11 she is called Jehoshabeath.
Meta. Jehosheba means whose oath Jehovah is, and represents the spiritual word of blessing that has been put upon the divine spark within man. This divine spark was typified in the Jewish religion as the sacred agreement contained in the Ark of the Covenant.
Jehosheba also signifies a certain fulfillment of faithfulness and Truth in the soul of the individual (fulfilling of Jah, fidelity of Jehovah, sevenfold Jehovah--seven denoting fulfillment), preparatory to the establishment of this faithfulness and Truth in the outer will and life. (This latter is suggested in protecting Joash and aiding in bringing him to the throne.)
