Jude, jude (Gk. fr. Heb.)--same as Judah and Judas; praise Jehovah.
Brother of James. He was an apostle of Jesus Christ; he was surnamed Thaddaeus (Matt. 10:3; Luke 6:16; Jude 1).
Meta. Jude, or Thaddaeus, among the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ represents the faculty of elimination. (See THADDÆUS.)
