Likhi, lik'-hi (Heb.)--taken; laid hold of; passed on; learned; known; a portion- doctrine of Jah.
Son of Shemida, descended from Manasseh (I Chron. 7:19).
Meta. A grasping by the conscious thought, a laying hold, and a taking to oneself for use in a practical way, of the principles of Truth (doctrine of Jah--one definition of doctrine being "a principle, . . . or the body of principles, in any branch of knowledge"--taken, laid hold of, passed on, learned, known).
