Metaphysical meaning of Libyans (mbd)
Libyans, lib'-y-ans (fr. Heb.)--land of the Lubim; dried; parched; thirsty.
People of Libya (Dan. 11:43). Libya is that portion of Africa bordering on the Mediterranean Sea and lying west of Egypt. The Hebrew name for Libya is Put, or Phut, and the Libyans are thought to have been descendants of Put, the son of Ham. They are also identified with Lubim.
