Metaphysical meaning of Lycia (mbd)
Lycia, li-ci-å (Gk.)--wild; uncultivated; rapacious; greedy; devouring; inflaming; heating; destroying; wolfish.
A district in Asia Minor, part of it projecting into the Mediterranean Sea. Paul, while being taken to Rome as a prisoner, came to Myra, a city of Lycia (Acts 27:5).
Meta. A state of consciousness that is very intense, emotional, wild, and devouring in its nature (wolfish, rapacious, inflaming, destroying).
