Metaphysical meaning of Maarath (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Maarath (mbd)
Maarath, ma'-a-rath (Heb.)--blind; cavernous; darkness; denuded; naked; bared; opened; uncovered; empty; barren; waste.

A city in the hill country of Judah (Josh. 15:59).

Meta. A sense of a lack of light, understanding, substance; a sense of emptiness, negativeness, and possibly of sadness or gloom (blind, naked, bared, empty, barren, waste), that one may sometimes feel if one is slow about affirming that which is good and true in order to fill the vacuum that has been made in consciousness by putting away some seemingly strongly intrenched error. Denials of error should be accompanied by affirmations of the desired good, and by much thanksgiving and praise to God, the good, that a right balance may be kept in consciousness. Then one will not experience anything of the nature of that which the city of Maarath represents.
