Metaphysical meaning of Madon (mbd)
Madon, ma'-don (Heb.)--contention; quarrel; strife; from Dan; place of judgment; extension; measure; vestment; garment.
A city of Canaan that was captured by Joshua. Its king was Jobab (Josh. 11:1; 12:19).
Meta. The established belief of the outer man that he must contend for his rights; that he will receive justice only by striving for it in a personal way (contention, strife, quarrel, from Dan, place of judgment). Madon's being conquered by Joshua bespeaks the introduction of a higher idea of justice into this thought realm, thus enlarging the vision and clothing the consciousness with true judgment (extension, vestment, garment).
