Metaphysical meaning of maid (mbd)
maid, in A. V., damsel, having a spirit of divination (Acts 16:16-18).
Meta. An intuitive force, partly in spiritual consciousness but still bound in the personal or serpent consciousness; hence the continual crying out, "These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim unto you the way of salvation." This mind force is brought under subjection to Spirit by the power of the converted will. When Paul spoke the word, the serpent consciousness dropped away and the intuitive force was free to operate in the light of Spirit.
