Metaphysical meaning of Maoch (mbd)
Maoch, ma'-och (Heb.)--pressed; oppressed; squeezed; emasculated; poor; breastband.
Father of Achish, king of Gath, a Philistine (I Sam. 27:2).
Meta. The breast is the seat of the affectional nature. Maoch (pressed, oppressed, emasculated, poor, breastband) signifies in individual consciousness either a lack of natural affection or a being bound and limited by human, personal, sense loves and emotions. Either condition would cause one to be poor and oppressed in so far as the true inner riches and freedom of mind and heart are concerned.
