Metaphysical meaning of Medad (mbd)
Medad, me'-dad (Heb.)--loving, beloved; highly esteemed; pleasant, delightful; divided; apportioned; measured.
An Israelite who did not go with Moses to the tent of meeting; but the Spirit of the Lord came upon him in the camp and he prophesied there. This occurred in the wilderness (Num. 11:26).
Meta. The loving thought; that in us which perceives that God is love, and seeks to measure our experiences and conditions from this standpoint. (See ELDAD.)
