Metaphysical meaning of mene (mbd)
mene, me'-ne (Chald.)--numbered; counted out; measured; meted; allotted; apportioned; appointed.
The first word of the warning to King elshazzar of Babylon. It appeared in the form of handwriting on the wall (Dan. 5:25, 26): "MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and brought it to an end."
Meta. The assurance that the ruling error phase of will and consciousness that Belshazzar and his kingdom represent has been taken account of (numbered) by the divine judge, the Spirit of truth, and that its end is at hand.
