Metaphysical meaning of Ner (mbd)
Ner, ner (Heb.)--shining; spreading abroad light; a light; a torch; a lamp; fallow ground- newly tilled land.
Grandfather of Saul (I Chron. 8:33). He was the father of Abner, Saul's uncle and captain of his host (I Sam. 14:50).
Meta. Ner, like Abner, signifies the illumined reason or intellect. (See ABNER.)
