Pinon, pi'-non (Heb.)--darkness; perplexity; distraction; hopelessness.
A chief of Edom. He was descended from Esau (Gen. 36:41).
Meta. The great anxiety, confusion, and hopelessness that often come over the purely mortal, darkened consciousness of man in times of error reaping (darkness, perplexity, distraction, hopelessness, a chief of Edom, Edom referring to Esau and signifying the seemingly physical and carnal phase of man's being).
