Metaphysical meaning of Prochorus (mbd)
Prochorus, proch'-o-rus (Gk.)--before the singers; before the dancers; choir leader; choir master; leader of the dance.
One of the seven men who were chosen from among the Christians in Jerusalem to look after the distribution of provisions among the disciples, that none might be overlooked (Acts 6:5).
Meta. An active thought in the higher, spiritual consciousness of man, whose central idea is joy, harmony, and unity (choir leader, leader of the dance).
