Metaphysical meaning of Rehabiah (mbd)
Rehabiah, re-ha-bi'-ah (Heb.)--Jehovah is wide; Jah is a widener; whom Jehovah enlarges, i. e., liberates and makes happy; Jah is broad; Jehovah is ample.
The only son of Eliezer son of Moses (I Chron. 23:17).
Meta.--
"There's a wideness in God's mercy, Like the wideness of the sea; There's a kindness in His justice,Which is more than liberty.
"For the love of God is broader Than the measure of man's mind; And the heart of the Eternal
Is most wonderfully kind."
By contemplating this "wideness" and "broadness" of the divine love, mercy, justice, and Truth, the individual consciousness is lifted out of narrow, prejudiced, preconceived ideas and beliefs, and becomes enlarged so as to receive a true comprehension of God: this is Rehabiah (Jehovah is wide, Jah is broad, Jah is a widener, whom Jehovah enlarges, i. e., liberates and makes happy), a man of the tribe of Levi (love), and grandson of Moses, who represents the evolutionary law, or upward trend of all things, which is constantly working within each individual to lead him onward to higher and more perfect understanding and development.
