Metaphysical meaning of Reuel (mbd)
Reuel, reu'-el (Heb.)--led of God; shepherded of God; friendship of God; companion of God.
a Son of Esau by Basemath (Gen. 36:4). b Priest of Midian and father-in-law of Moses (Exod. 2:18). He is called Jethro in Exodus 3:1. c Father of Eliasaph, who was prince of the children of Gad, in the wilderness (Num. 2:14). In Numbers 1:14 he is called Deuel. d A Benjamite mentioned in I Chronicles 9:8.

A thought of divine guidance and care; also a sense of mutual understanding, comradeship, fellowship, existing between God and man (led of God, shepherded of God, friend ship of God, companion of God). "Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you. No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my ather I have made known unto you" (John 15:14, 15).
