Metaphysical meaning of Rezeph (mbd)
Rezeph, re'-zeph (Heb.)--masonry; a pavement; stone mosaics; hearthstone; heated stone, i. e., for heating or baking; live coals.

Evidently a city or place that was destroyed by the Assyrians. It was mentioned by Rabshakeh in his message from the king of Assyria to Hezekiah, king of Judah (II Kings 19:12).

Meta. A state of thought that has been built up by elaborate reasoning of the intellect, therefore is believed by the outer man to be permanent and sure (masonry, a pavement, stone mosaics, hearthstone). The ideas of heat and baking suggest zeal and crystallization of thought (heated stone, i. e., for heating or baking, live coals).
