Rufus, ru'-fus (Lat.)--red; reddish; ruddy. a Son of Simon of Cyrene. This Simon was compelled to bear Jesus' cross to Calvary (Mark 15:21). b A Christian at Rome to whom Paul sent salutation in his letter to the Romans (Rom. 16:13).
