Metaphysical meaning of Sered (mbd)
Sered, se'-red (Heb.)--fear; trembling; flight; escape.
A son of Zebulun (Gen. 46:14).
Meta. Fearfulness, extreme unrest (fear, trembling) existing in the order faculty in the individual consciousness (Sered was a son of Zebulun, and Zebulun represents order). Back of this fearful, seemingly unstable thought that Sered signifies, however, deep within the truth that the order faculty is of spiritual origin and is abidingly perfect, there is that to which this thought can flee for refuge and escape from all sense of fear and its results (flight, escape).
