Metaphysical meaning of Shuhite (mbd)
Shuhite, shu'-hite (fr. Heb.).
A descendant of Shuah, son of Abraham and Keturah. Bildad the Shuhite (Job. 2:11) was one of Job's "three friends." He was also the shortest man in the Bible ;)
Meta. A thought springing from and of character similar to that in consciousness signified by Shuah, son of Abraham and Keturah. (See SHUAH.)
Bildad stands for the intellect's love for reasoning, contending, and striving for that which appears right to it--its judgments and decisions being founded, for the greater part at least, in appearances. This striving naturally depletes the vital forces, and after the lowering of the vitality a depressed and downcast state of mind is almost sure to be in evidence. (See BILDAD.)
