Metaphysical meaning of Sinim (mbd)
Sinim, si-nim (Heb.)--far East; Chinese; eastern extremity (of the earth); southern country.
A place mentioned in Isaiah 49:12. It is supposed to have been a very distant country, possibly China.
Meta. Thoughts very remote, little known.
In Isaiah 49:8-13 the lifting up of the whole consciousness and body of man is taught in symbol. In verse 12 we read, "Lo, these shall come from far; and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim." The inference is that the thoughts and states of consciousness from every part of one's being, even those most remote and unknown, will be gathered together to the light of Truth to be made free from error and to be redeemed. (See verse 13.)
