Metaphysical meaning of Sosipater (mbd)
Sosipater, so-sip-a-ter (Gk. fr. Lat.) --the father who saves; saving father; savior of the father; father saved; defender of the father.

A kinsman of Paul's (Rom. 16:21), a form of Sopater, and thought to be the same person as Sopater.
